I am very interested in the history of speedway racing, and I have written about it for 60 years. I'd be interested in joining the site.

Congratulations on a great site.  My dad, Ralph Henderson, raced midgets way back in the 1950's - mainly at the Sydney Showground (Royal).  I have some photos and I have been collecting programmes that have his name in them as a memory for my family.  If anybody has photos, programmes or other info from the midget era of the 1950's I would be very interested.  Thanks!!

Stumbled accros this brilliant site. Why didn't we think of it earlier? Top marks to you and all your supporters. Old speedway never dies it may have been a little slower but just as exciting. Great work, I hope this site stays alive too.

HI how are you?
well done on a fantastic site. great old photo's, one could spend hours upon hours
brousing through them all. Its Great that some takes the time and goes out of their way
to set up such a wonderful site.
I had The pleasure of Meeting Bill Wigzell back in 1998. He was at the Grand anual Sprintcar classic with Suddenly on display. I have  photo's of Suddenly
from that Day. If you would like a couple for your site let me know, I would be only to
pleased to send them to you

Been a while since I've been on and as always, love breezing through the history of our great sport. Back in Perth for a couple of years and enjoying watching the next generation, plus the old farts I used to race with, of Modifieds racing. Its just not the same without the mighty Claremont Showground but I wouldn't swap racing at its last meeting for anything. Keep up the good work. I'll always be a fan.

Hi Dave,  great site check it often, surprised you don't get more feedback. I raced sedans in qld and nsw in the 70's and the 80's. The hard part is walking away as the sport consumes most of your finances, you don't tend to keep any memrobilia so it's great to see others post photo's certainly gets the blood flowing. Certainly know how long ago it was when it is either filed under "old time " or "vintage". Was it really that long ago?. Thanks for the site anyway. Fred.

Steve Boardman from Sydney (Sydney Showground Speedway) message 23 · sent: 2008-05-03 16:24
Thank you for a great speedway web site and a lot of great memories.
I started going to the Sydney Showground Speedway in 1965 the week after Nick Collier died and I was at Westmead Speedway when we all lost Jeff Freeman on Mothers day.
And how good is it now when we go to Parramatta Speedway and we can still hear the great voice of Steve Raymond.
I could talk forever on this subject as it was a big part of my younger days.
Thanks for the memories and thanks to all my speedway heroes.
